MASTER OF SCIENCE IN FINANCE
The Master of Science in Finance (MFin) program grew out from the integration of the MSc in Investment Management (MScIM) and MSc in Financial Analysis (MScFA) programs and received its first cohort in 2020. Similar to IM/FA programs, the newly launched MFin program has been widely recognized by finance professionals as a premier academic program.
THE PROGRAMS
The MFin program has been designed to provide rigorous training for students interested in professional careers in the finance industry. The curriculum is structured to meet the growing and specialized demands of the industry as well as equipping students with the cutting-edge finance knowledge and skills required for career advancement and continual professional development. The program offers both full-time and part-time study modes, which students can complete in 12 or 24 months, respectively.
Solid foundation of courses in corporate finance, quantitative and computing skills, investment analysis, and financial derivatives will be served as the foundation training for all students, these courses are also served as the required curriculums in the major professional exams including Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Financial Risk Management (FRM). Students will have chances to participate in various enrichment activities and luncheon talks and students can make good use of these platforms for networking with industry practitioners in Hong Kong and to maximize their potential for their graduate employment opportunities.
